This is a great smoothie for before a workout, providing some good protein, fat, and carbs while not overdoing the berries. Remember – though people often want to put loads of berries and fruit in their smoothies, that just makes it a giant sugar bomb.

Avoid that problem by mixing up the macronutrients like you’ll see below.

Pre-workout power smoothie

  • 1 Scoop Grass Fed Protein (vanilla Orgain, Garden of Life, or Ancient Nutrition)
  • 8 Ounces Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Organic Almond Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon MCT Coconut Oil
  • ¼ Cup Organic Frozen Blueberries
  • Ice

Simply drop everything in the blender and blend until smooth.
